I hold an MFA in Classical Acting from London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and previously trained at a 3-year conservatory for Professional Acting. I am also a certified LAMDA Exams teacher. I specialize in classical text, as well as contemporary, having spent over 10 years working professionally in Los Angeles and New York. I am currently London based. Sessions are provided via video chat, or if you reside in London, we may be able to arrange in-person sessions.
I understand the audition process – in professional film and commercials, as well as theater. My approach is unique in that I've worked as a Casting Assistant and Coordinator for over 7 years.

It's so important to have a few monologues prepared, so that you can whip one out when asked for a different option in an audition. Having a few in your back pocket will leave you feeling ultra-prepared and at ease.
Need help understanding classical text? That's my specialty! We'll break down all the rhetorical devices used, so that your speech is full of color and life.
Need to prepare sides for an audition? I will work with you to mine the text for clues. Analyzing the scene will build context, enriching your artistic choices.
We will work the scene or monologue until you feel comfortable and confident in your preparation!
HELP ME FIND A
CLASSICAL MONOLOGUE!
I understand that it can be very difficult to find a classical monologue that suits you and is not over-done. Many drama school auditions ask for at least one classical monologue. Everyone's mind goes straight to Shakespeare! However, Shakespeare had many brilliant contemporaries, and it sounds like you may need help from someone well-versed in that material. Here is where I come in!
After a brief getting-to-know-you session, I will take some time to gather speech options and send them your way. I will help you choose the one most appropriate and active for you. Depending on your needs, these speeches can be lesser-known Shakespeare monologues or sourced from other classical playwrights, including female playwrights!
LAMDA EXAM TRAINING
Are you looking for a private coach for LAMDA exams? I am certified directly from LAMDA having gone through an intensive week-long training by LAMDA Examiners. I understand the boxes that need to be ticked and am happy to teach and prepare students!
I have experience with educational theatre, having toured a children's show and running workshops in classrooms. I tend to work with students 12+ years of age.
